TP-OMRON Proof of Concept (POC) & Training Hub, Advanced Automation Lab/ OMRON and Partners

OMRON, in collaboration with Temasek Polytechnic and supported by the Skillsfuture Queen Bee (SFQB) Initiative, is strengthening the role of industry leaders, with SMC as a key partner, in fortifying the capabilities of the workforce and enterprises to gain a competitive edge in Advanced Manufacturing.

As part of the TP-OMRON Proof of Concept (POC) & Training Hub and the inauguration of the Advanced Automation Lab, OMRON, along with its partners including SMC, shared practical insights on how the manufacturing industry can undergo a transformation through Digitalization. The event included a tour of the TP-OMRON POC & Training Hub, providing participants with the opportunity to experience the latest cutting-edge robotics system featuring soft pick, 3D Vision System, Intelligent Control Systems platform, and Advanced Analytics tools. These technologies aim to simulate real industrial application scenarios, enabling industries to stay ahead of the competition in the digital age.

SMC, as a key partner in this initiative, has played a crucial role in supporting the AMC (Advanced Manufacturing Centre), POC lab as well as enterprise projects focused on Sustainability and Digitalization. Specifically, SMC has contributed expertise to projects related to SMC Smart 4-bar Factory/ Air Management System with Digitalization/ energy-saving and ecological solutions, among others.
